Welcome back to the latest batch of tidbits and fun campaigns from the last week to see what brands, agencies and production houses have been up to.
Roku
Roku launched its new “Less Screaming. More Streaming.” ad campaign centered around common consumer frustrations of streaming and watching TV at home. Whether it’s searching for a lost remote, shopping for a smart TV or figuring out how to find the content you are looking to stream, the campaign from agency Fellow Kids and director Dave Laden of Hungry Man spotlights how Roku’s products offer a simple solution and less shouting.
Uber Direct
Uber presents “Delivery, Done,” which raises awareness of Uber Direct, an on-demand local delivery platform that enables businesses to accept orders from their own sales channels to deliver them using Uber’s courier network. To showcase the solution, agency Rethink created a campaign highlighting “Simpler Than” ideas, silly scenarios where alternative delivery solutions go hilariously wrong.
Galychyna
Ukrainian dairy company Galychyna has launched a campaign from agency Bickerstaff.987 that spotlights a unique, ancient form of communication deeply rooted in Ukrainian culture. While Russian propaganda pushes narratives of “fraternal nations” and a “shared past,” Ukrainian brands are producing campaigns that proudly showcase their distinct heritage. In the campaign, the company highlights a unique method of communication from the highlands called egokannya. The campaign’s main characters, Vasyl and Paraska Romanyuk, are the keepers of this ancient tradition. The brand and agency created an archival dictionary where the Romanyuk family explains the meaning behind these mystical mountain sounds. The glossary is available on the company’s website.
Squarespace
Squarespace released its latest global brand campaign, “Change Your World,” with three new spots showcasing entrepreneurs getting their businesses off the ground in different ways. The spots take viewers through the process of starting and growing a business, from purchasing a domain to building a website and generating revenue with features like classes and ecommcerce. The vividly imaginative spots came from the in-house agency and were directed by Vania Heymann & Gal Muggia.
