Payal Kapadia’s All We Imagine As Light faced a setback at the Critics Choice Awards 2025, after it missed out on the Best Foreign Language Film award. The film lost the award to Emilia Perez, which features Selena Gomez.

All We Imagine As Light had generated massive buzz, with many even expecting it to claim the trophy. However, it lost the award to Emilia Perez which resulted to a sad end to its Critics Choice Awards journey.

Besides All We Imagine As Light, Citadel: Honey Bunny, another Indian nominee, also faced defeat in its respective category.

At the 30th annual event – which was hosted by Chelsea HandlerAdam Brody and Demi Moore bagged the Best Actor and Actress awards for their flawless performances in The Brutalist and The Substance, respectively.

Adam Brody , who lost his home to LA wildfires, thanked wife as he accepted his trophy. “My darling, darling, darling wife Leighton,” he said in his acceptance speech. “Thank you for sharing this life with me and this journey with me. Thank you for our family. I love you with all my heart.”
