Believe it or not, it’s not just Elon Musk and Nick Cannon who have shockingly large families.

While the tech billionaire and The Masked Singer host are both known for their accomplishments — Musk for being the richest man in the world, Cannon for his comedic chops — their respective broods have often made just as many headlines as their talents. Notably, the stars have 12 children each.

Still, they don’t even top the list of celebs with the most kids. Several stars are parents of 14, while some even have 19.

Keep scrolling to see the celebs who have 10 or more offspring.

Elon Musk (12 Kids)

The SpaceX founder shares 12 children with three different women.

He was married to his first wife, Justine Wilson, from 2000 to 2008, during which they welcomed six kids together. Son Nevada died in infancy due to sudden infant death syndrome, which is defined by the Mayo Clinic as “the unexplained death of a baby … usually less than a year old and seems to be healthy.” Musk and Wilson went on to welcome twins Griffin and Vivian and triplets Saxon, Kai and Damian. (Vivian, for her part, is estranged from her father and has openly criticized him after she came out as transgender.)

Musk famously went on to have three children with singer Grimes, beginning in 2020, when the then-couple welcomed son X Æ A-Xii, pronounced “X Ash A Twelve.” (They call him X.) Though they split several times through the years, Musk and Grimes had two more children: daughter Exa Dark Sideræl (whom they nicknamed Y), who was born in December 2021, as well as son Techno Mechanicus (whom they call Tau), who was born in June 2022.

One month before Y’s birth, Musk secretly welcomed twins — Strider and Azure — with his Neuralink colleague Shivon Zillis.

As for why he chose to have so many children, the Tesla CEO has frequently espoused pronatalist views — the idea that having children is a crucial part of humanity —and has spoken out about the declining birth rates.

Nick Cannon (12 Kids)

Cannon is not only a dad of 12, he’s repeatedly stated that he’s leaving the door open for potentially more kids in the future.

The All That alum is father to twins Moroccan and Monroe, with ex-wife Mariah Carey; sons Golden Sagon and Rise, and daughter Powerful Queen, with Brittany Bell; twins Zion and Zillion and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin, with Abby De La Rosa; son Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi; daughter Onyx Ice Cole, with LaNisha Cole; and daughter Halo with Alyssa Scott. (Sadly, Cannon and Scott’s son Zen was 5 months old when he died of a brain tumor in December 2021.)

In November 2024, Cannon opened up about being diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD), and how it affects parenting his children.

“I’m just trying to be the best father I can be. I’m just trying to make the best out of the situation that I did create, but I’m still trying to step up,” he said on the Counsel Culture podcast.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar (19 Kids)

The Duggars famously have so many children that they starred in their own controversial TLC series about their big brood: 19 Kids and Counting.

Made up of 10 boys and nine girls, many of the Duggar kids — Josh, Jana, John, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jedidiah, Jerimiah, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn-Grace, and Josie — have since gone on to make to make a name for themselves, but not necessarily in a positive light.

While Jana, Jill, Jessa and Jinger have all made headlines for breaking their parents devoutly religious rules (such as not being allowed to wear pants instead of skirts), it is their older brother Josh whose time in the limelight has caused extreme controversy.

In 2021 — six years after Josh admitted to molesting several of his sisters as children — he was found guilty on child pornography charges and was sentenced to nearly 13 years in prison.

Eddie Murphy (10 Kids)

The Beverly Hills Cop star is a dad of 10. His eldest son, Eric (whom he shares with ex Paulette McNeely) made headlines in December 2024 when he announced his engagement to comedian Martin Lawrence’s daughter, Jasmin.

In addition to Eric, Murphy is also father of daughters Bria, Shayne, Zola and Bella, all of whom he shares with ex-wife Nicole Mitchell. Notably, one year after Bria’s birth, the Shrek voice actor welcomed son Christian with Tamara Hood.

Murphy went on to welcome daughter Angel with former Spice Girl Mel B, and later, daughter Izzy and son Max with wife Paige Butcher.

“I am so blessed with my kids,” the Coming to America actor reflected on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast in 2021. I don’t have one bad seed. I don’t have any like ‘Oh you are the one.’ I don’t have any of that. My kids are so great, normal people — and nobody is like the Hollywood jerk kid.”

Mia Farrow (14 Kids)

The Rosemary’s Baby actress is a mother of 14 children, several of whom have gone on to become household names themselves.

Farrow is a parent to both biological and adopted children, first starting her family with then-husband André Previn in the ’70s. She and Previn welcomed three biological sons —twins Matthew and Sascha and son Fletcher — as well as three adopted daughters: Lark Son, Summer “Daisy,” and Soon-Yi. (Farrow’s long-time partner, Woody Allen, infamously went on to wed Soon-Yi and adopt two children with her.)

In the ’80s, Farrow adopted four more children: sons Moses and Isaiah and daughters Dylan and Tam. While in a long-term relationship with Allen at the time, the two welcomed son Ronan, who famously has gone on to become an award-winning journalist.

Farrow’s daughter, Dylan — whom Allen adopted during their relationship — accused her father of sexual abuse when she was a child, but the case was dropped in the early ’90s when a judge claimed Dylan, then 8 years old, was too “fragile” for the trial. The case occurred around the same time that Allen’s affair with Soon-Yi came to light, which led to Farrow’s messy split from the actor.

After her breakup with Allen, Farrow adopted three more children in the ’90s: son Thaddeus and daughters Kaeli-Shea and Frankie-Minh.

‘Octomom’ Nadya Suleman (14 Kids)

Suleman — who was dubbed “Octomom” in 2009 after she gave birth to the world’s first surviving octuplets — has a total of 14 children. In addition to the octuplets — Noah, Maliyah, Isaiah, Nariyah, Jonah, Makai, Josiah and Jeremiah — the single mom is also a parent to her six eldest children: Elijah, Amerah, Joshua, Aidan, and twins Calyssa and Caleb.

Suleman became a grandmother at 49 years old when she revealed in September 2024 that one of her 10 sons welcomed his first child.

Ethel Kennedy (11 Kids)

Prior to Ethel Kennedy’s death in October 2024, the American icon — sister-in-law of late President John F. Kennedy and wife of the late politician Robert F. Kennedy — was a mother of 11 children: Kathleen, Joseph, Robert Jr., David, Courtney, Michael, Kerry, Christopher, Max, Douglas and Rory.

Nearly all of the Kennedy kids from this branch of the famous family have gone on to work in the political sphere — perhaps none more well-known than Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., whose controversial stances on vaccines and more public health issues have made headlines since 2020. In November 2024, he was elected by president-elect Donald Trump to lead the Department of Health and Human Services.
